CRJS300 U5IP Research Paper Example | Topics and Well Written Essays - 750 words - 1
CRJS300 U5IP - Research Paper Example This case relates to the U.S juvenile justice system. There are legal provisions enshrined in our constitutionââ¬â¢s rights in form of Miranda, warning (Nissen, 2007) which bestow some rights to juveniles during their arrest by articulating their rights and privileges. When a child is referred or arrested to the juvenile court system, various processes and procedures take place before the case is determined and heard before the juvenile court. As an attorney specialized in the matters of the juvenile court, I will ensure that I achieve the best possible outcome for Mrs. Iââ¬â¢s teenager but by first letting, the due processes of law court take place. A police apprehends the minor: Juvenile court matters come to the courts system when a police officer apprehends a juvenile for violating a school official, guardian, parent, or statute. Given Mrs., Iââ¬â¢s minor stole the car; I would recommend the officer to take the minor into custody to avoid mob justice. Intake: The juvenile courtââ¬â¢s intake office determines whether further due process is necessary by evaluating the case to determine if there is sufficient evidence to continue with the case, the minor should be sent to a social service agency, or should the case be determined in the juvenile court system. Given the circumstances surrounding the case, evidence for prosecution of the minor is in the public domain, I would thus; recommend for a hearing in court. Detention: If there is insufficient evidence, gathered by the intake officer, the minor may be released to the guardian, parent or detained in a minor correctional center pending the courtââ¬â¢s decision (Patterns and Trends in Juvenile Crime and Juvenile Justice, 2012). However, if the intake person finds the hearing of the case is not necessary, an arrangement can be organized to have minor assisted by mental health facilities, school counselors, or youth service agencies. Since the evidence to

E-Commerce Website Development Using Component Technologies Essay
E-Commerce Website Development Using Component Technologies - Essay Example A major difference between the server side and client side is that when you are performing client side operations, you must always contact the server in some cases. For instance, when shifting codes based on an individualââ¬â¢s requirements, the code can be placed on the client side using Sencha or ExtJs and then a simple API coding on the server. On the server side, it is possible to stay completely inside without the need to access the client side if a user picks PHP UI framework. On the client side, the client code is visible to all users that are using the application, for instance, a web browser, but on the server side, the code is not visible to anyone viewing a webpage. The client side of computer programming interacts with temporary storage such as cookies and local storage while the server side of computer programming interacts with permanent storage such as SQL and files. The programming languages that these two sides use also differ; while client side uses programming language such as JavaScript, HTML, CSS or any language that runs in a clientââ¬â¢s device and interacts with a remote service, server side uses programming languages such as PHP, ASP.Net in C++ or Visual Basic or any other language that is used in programming. Benefits of server side components One of the advantages of server side components is that they reduce the load on the userââ¬â¢s computer since it does not require any special or additional plug ins or browser scripting technology such as JavaScript. Secondly, with server side components website owners can create their own applications or use content management systems to maintain their websites without necessarily having to edit their code. Another advantage of server side components such as programming language is the ability for websites to provide dynamic content, which is contrary to the period before the server side languages when WebPages wee static. Server side languages provide an individual with security because in order to access a site one has to login using an ID and a password therefore a secure access to the site. This is done when the site sends a webpage known as a form where the user types his ID and password then submits them to the site. After verification that the user is an authenticated member, the server allows him secure access to the site. Application of component technologies in development of E-commerce website The electronic component commerce model comprises of both internet based transactions but also EDI based business to business activities that were used before commercialization of the internet. For development of technologies of e-commerce, there are three Meta levels that need to be c onsidered; infrastructure, services, and products and structures. Four pillars that include network, multimedia content, messaging and ordinary business services support infrastructure; these four pillars are contained in a complex web of technical, business and legal issues. The three meta-levels in e-commerce and their boundaries are determined by the business organisations, clients, service providers and other stakeholders that are involved in the transactions according to their specific and individual needs. Components that are contained in the e-commerce component models can be changed overtime, for instance, the WebPages that are used to display various business contents in the internet are bound to get outdated

Make a plane of the investigation and a report for the investigation Assignment
Make a plane of the investigation and a report for the investigation There should be two sections in this . In this in - Assignment Example Basically, the duration of burning of the candle is dependent on the amount of oxygen. The word equation for the burning candle wax that supports this explanation is as given (Oldham, 2005). (Hydrocarbons) + Oxygen ----> Carbon dioxide + Water (Hydrocarbons). This experiment entails burning candles. One, two and three, candles would simultaneously be held on a tray while confined in a jar. Time taken by each of the candles before going off would be recorded. This experiment is considered following a thorough review of many literatures that show that there is lacking experiments done to explore the differences in the rates of Oxygen consumption between one, two or more candles. As a result, it has not been clear whether if the sets are set running under constrained Oxygen, which of the three would go off first. This experiment, therefore, helps correlate the amount of oxygen consumed and the number of candles. This in effect, would help steer clear any double concerning the dependency of candles on oxygen gas during the burning process. Moreover, the experiment can help ascertain the components of a candle as a bi-product of hydrocarbons. This experimental set up is divided into two sections: The experimental plan and the report section. Title The Burning Candles Experiment. Aim The aim of this experiment is to investigate the differences in the rate of Oxygen consumption between one, two and three candles. ... Time taken by the one, two and three candles before going off served as the independent variable. Material you need to carry out the experiment Materials to be used in this experiment include a tray, a stop watch, one, two, and three same sized candles, jar and match box for lighting the candles. Methods Observation as a method is considered to be the most and, therefore, the applied method in this experiment for data collection. Raw data/observations No of Candles Time taken for the Lambs to go off in Seconds 1 60 2 35 3 15 Results It was found out that one candle took the relatively longest time to go off followed by two candles and finally, three candles, which took the shortest time before going off. Discussion From the graph shown below, there is a linear correlation between the number of candles and the time taken for the candles to go off. It is clear that increase in the number of candles causes a significant decrease in time the candles take to go off. Taking into considerat ion the fact that the number of candles is directly proportional to the rate of the amount of Oxygen consumed, it implies that increase in the number of candles results into an increase in of the amount of Oxygen consumed. On the other hand, the less the number of candles used, the less the rate of amount of oxygen consumed thus the higher the time taken for the candles to go off. This is because the burning up of candles is purely depended on the amount of Oxygen confined in the jar. Therefore, increasing the number of candles causes a proportional increase in the rate of consumption of Oxygen. This causes the candles to go off at shortest time possible. This is explained by the linear graph shown below. The

Ethical Consideration in Probation and Parole Research Paper
Ethical Consideration in Probation and Parole - Research Paper Example This article reveals the various ethical considerations that underpin the probation and parole systems. The idea of the article is that these systems should be reformed to ensure that they are effective and protect the rights of the public. Thus, it is an important contribution to the community correction aspect of the social justice systems. Probation and parole are some of the criminal correction procedures in many states in the world. Probation in criminal law refers to a period of supervision of an offender outside prison while a parole refers to the release of a criminal from prison before completing their term in prison. The offenders under parole and probation are set free to interact with the community under particular conditions. In the recent past, the conditions that offenders have to serve are raising ethical issues that need to be addressed. While it is clear that this is a better term for offenders, the conditions provided at times are dehumanizing and sometimes may have long term impacts on the community and the offenders. While many researchers argue that a great percentage of offenders prefer these conditions rather than spend their time in prison, these strict conditions have raised questions whether in reality these measures serve their intended purpose. From the fact that the parole and probation cond itions may affect the health, privacy and sanity of the offender and the community, it true that there is need to reform these conditions. In the recent past, the parole and probation have become more common forms of community correction methods. The argument of the government is that it is a more friendly approach of reinstating order in the society without necessarily having to imprison the offenders. The rationale for providing probation is that the person is not a potential threat to the community if released. The offender is released under close supervision to monitor their

The Gospel according to Matthew Essay Example for Free
The Gospel according to Matthew Essay It is said that the ideas of Liberation Theology espoused by the more liberal elements of the Catholic Church is found the gospel according to (Saint) Matthew. one of the four major gospels in the New Testament. From the word itself, the words written here imply the truth and is considered sacronsanct and leaves no room for doubt. The gospel essentially states that Jesus is the messiah sent by God to the world. The question is how is Liberation Theology and social justice related to Matthews gospel? In the understanding of the Jews, as well as Liberation Theologists, when Jesus clashed with the Pharisees and scribes, it suggested that his teachings, as shown in Matthews gospel contain a message of social justice. This is underscored in one of the Eight Beatitudes, ââ¬Å"Blessed are the lowly; they shall inherit the earthâ⬠(New American Bible, Matt. 5:5) and If you want to be perfect, go, sell your possessions and give to the poor, and you will have treasure in heaven. Then come, follow me (Matt. 19:21). I for one sees that this makes sense. Matthews teachings do evoke the need for social justice which can be inferred here as the hallmark of a true Christian regardless of the denomination one belongs to and not a nominal one where he is Christian by affiliation but not in practice. However, that is the extent of my agreement. Liberation theologists have a tendency to take it very far to demand change in governments by colluding with revolutionary movements just because they do not agree. When Jesus came to this world, this was what the Jews also thought but Christ reminded them he did not come to this world to be a political leader and liberate them from their political masters. He came to offer them something better and it is a matter of accepting this invitation to the kingdom of heaven. Works Cited New Amercian Bible. Camden, New Jersey: Thomas Nelson, Inc. , 1970.
